Court Holidays

 

The following are the official holidays of the Plumas Superior Court. On these days, full-time probationary and permanent employees shall be entitled to time off with full pay and part-time probationary and permanent employees shall be entitled to time off with pay prorated on their part-time equivalent. A holiday occurring on a Saturday is observed on the preceding Friday and a holiday occurring on a Sunday is observed on the following Monday, pursuant to California Rules of Court, rule 987.

  • January 1, New Year’s Day
  • The third Monday in January, Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday
  • February 12, Lincoln’s Birthday Observed
  • The third Monday in February, Washington’s Birthday or Presidents’ Day
  • March 31, Cesar Chavez Day
  • The last Monday in May, Memorial Day
  • July 4, Independence Day
  • The first Monday in September, Labor Day
  • October 10, Columbus Day
  • November 11, Veterans’ Day
  • The day in November which is the legal observance of Thanksgiving
  • The day in November following Thanksgiving
  • December 25, Christmas Day
  • Any day appointed by the President of the United States or the Governor of the State of California as a special one-time-only holiday.
